Most rescue organisations provide a return policy for dogs that do not adapt to their new homes. This policy usually includes a 14-day trial period, during which a full refund is given if the dog is returned.

Benny returned to us after five weeks due to his inability to understand boundaries and exhibit acceptable behaviour.

We are committed to ensuring Benny’s safe rehoming and preventing any harm to himself or others. Benny is currently readjusting to his foster home under close supervision, and a dog trainer will be working with him to address his behavioural issues.

Benny’s small size and big attitude can sometimes get him into trouble. While some owners may tolerate unruly behaviour in small dogs, this would be unacceptable in larger breeds.

We must ensure that Benny’s future adopter is safe and able to enjoy his company.
