Isabella is back home!
Her CT scan showed a couple of small concerns but no masses.
There was moderate inflammation present and large amounts of discharge in the nasal passages with areas of bacteria, possibly fungal plaques. A chunk of potential foreign material was retrieved after a litre of fluid was flushed through Isabella’s nose.
Nasal biopsies along with the foreign material have been sent to pathology, we should have the results in a week or so.
Diagnosis was a nasal obstruction secondary to mucus accumulation and infection. Possibly the foreign material was from when Isabella was found in the undergrowth, hence the ongoing infections and multiple antibiotics without any improvement.
Thank you to everyone who donated towards Isabella’s vet care, and to Dr Kathryn Hogan and the team at Peninsula Vet Emergency & Referral Hospital for the wonderful work they do.
Chase was extremely happy to see his bestie as you can imagine.
Thanks again ♥️
