Ever thought about fostering but couldn’t find a reason why?

Twelve little lives are waiting to leave the shelter — can you offer them a safe place to land?
These beautiful Bichon Frise dogs, ranging in age from just 7 months to 12 years, are in urgent need of foster homes. Before they can be adopted, they’ll need vet checks, welfare grooms, and desexing — but right now, they just need a soft bed and a kind heart.
They can be foster-to-adopt, but will remain in SPDR’s foster programme until fully ready for their forever homes.
We’ll provide:
✔️ Vet care (at our partner clinics on the Mornington Peninsula)
✔️ Bedding
✔️ Food
✔️ Walking gear
All you need to provide is a safe, loving indoor environment.
We’ll arrange a home and fence check, and you’ll need to sign our foster carer agreement before we place a dog in your care.
We’ve already committed to saving 4 of these little souls. We might be able to squeeze in a 5th… but with more local carers, we can say YES to more.
