When Jordy first came into our care, we believed he was palliative and simply needed a soft place to land. But after our vets gave us the unexpected news that he still had more time ahead of him, we wanted to give him the chance to enjoy a peaceful retirement in a quieter home, away from the busyness of too many other dogs.

At 16 years old, Jordy had every right to rest his weary little body and be cherished in his twilight years. Two beautiful families opened their homes and hearts to him, hoping to give him that gift. But Jordy told us something different…

Without his foster mum Giulia, Jordy just wasn’t himself. The sparkle in his eyes dimmed, and the joyful old boy we knew seemed lost. His bond with Giulia is something so rare and so deep that it simply couldn’t be replaced — and he made sure we listened.

So, Jordy has chosen his forever. At 16 years young, he will stay right where he is happiest, with the person he loves most. This morning, after a short but loving stay with a wonderful family, Jordy came home — back into Giulia’s arms, where he belongs.
