Tess has found her forever home ❤️

Our beautiful Tess — one of the “Bichon Babes” rescued from a puppy farm has found her happy ending.

When Tess first came to us, she was one of the most shut down little souls we’d ever met, and with very good reason. She had suffered a head trauma that left her needing major TECA surgery (removal of her ear canal), and she carried a deep fear of humans that ran just as deep as her physical scars.

Despite all she had endured, Tess began to slowly peek out from behind her walls, thanks to the incredible patience and kindness of her foster parents, Giulia and Bill. They gave her space, safety and unconditional love — and in time, Tess began to trust.

Just as she was about to be listed for adoption, a mammary lump was found. Our hearts sank, but there was no hesitation — straight into surgery she went to have it removed. Once again, Tess showed the resilience and quiet bravery that had been buried under years of neglect.

And then came the moment we’d all been waiting for. Among so many beautiful applications, one stood out — and it turned out to be the perfect match.

From the moment Tess (now Penny) walked through the door at her meet and greet, it was as though she knew. She relaxed, wagged her tail, and settled in as if she’d always belonged.

Now, she’s living her best life — happy, confident, and so very loved.

To Giulia and Bill — our heartfelt thanks. Your care, your compassion, and your belief in Tess gave her the courage to become the dog she was always meant to be.

Welcome home, Penny. You’ve truly come full circle ♥️
