Mollie had her much-needed groom last week, and thanks to our incredible team at Dashing Designer Dogs Mornington, who so generously donate their services — she walked out looking like a completely different girl. They washed away every trace of the life she came from and handed back to us a sparkling white little soul who finally has the chance to step into a future she deserves.
Next week, Mollie is booked in for her spey. While she’s under anaesthetic, our vets will also take the opportunity to look at a few things she wasn’t comfortable having examined awake. We already know she has several broken teeth that will need to be removed, and as always, our dogs undergoing dental work receive full dental X-rays plus a proper scale and polish. Nothing but the best for our tiny fighters.
Mollie will stay in foster care for a few more weeks while we get all her medical needs sorted. In the meantime, we’ve had many messages asking us:
• “Please keep us posted!”
• “Can you add us to the adoption list?”
• “Can we have her now?”
• “Why don’t you do interstate adoptions?”
• “Can you please not spey her because we’ve been looking for a dog just like her to breed from?”
And here are the answers:
• All updates are posted right here — just follow our page.
• We don’t keep waiting lists; every dog and every adopter have unique needs.
• No, Mollie isn’t available right now. She has medical issues we are still treating.
• We require in-person meet and greets and fence checks. We can’t travel interstate to do these, and we don’t accept photos or videos as proof of a safe home.
• And the last question… we’re simply ignoring.
For now, Mollie is soaking up her foster home, experiencing comfort, gentleness, and care — possibly for the first time in her life.
She will be ready for her new home when she’s ready.
And when that day comes, she’ll be blooming, healthy, and finally free to live the life she always should have had 💕
