Mollie had her surgery yesterday, and we’re so relieved to share some good news. What was originally suspected to be fractured canines turned out not to be fractures at all. Dr Steve completed a full scale and polish first, followed by her spey.
A few notes from her check-up:
• All four of her distal feet were discoloured brown — likely STP with occasional malassezia — so she’ll continue with Malaseb washes post-operatively.
• She had some light plaque buildup, and what looked like a slab fracture of her upper left carnassial was actually just overlying fur giving the appearance of a crack.
• All four canines are worn down, likely from years of chewing.
• A Grade 1 dental was performed shortly after induction — all teeth were scaled and polished with no extractions needed.
Mollie is now recovering beautifully under the watchful care of the highly respected senior nurse, Jazz! 💕
