Just before Christmas, a sweet little senior girl was found wandering alone — tired, sore, and forgotten.
A stray at a time when no dog should be without a home.

She arrived at the shelter with severe dental disease, quietly enduring pain no one had noticed or treated. Days passed, and no one came looking for her. No calls. No familiar face. Just a gentle old soul waiting in a noisy place that wasn’t meant to be home.

Knowing she couldn’t stay there, the shelter reached out, hoping someone might open their heart — especially so close to Christmas.

And Nat did.

Without hesitation, foster mum Nat said yes. She brought this little girl home, wrapped her in warmth, and showed her the kindness she so clearly understands and so deeply deserves.

“She’s a lovely girl,” Nat says. “I have a couple of jealous boys here, but she is so sweet.”

Bathed, comfortable, and finally at peace, Missy curled up on the sofa — safe, warm, and loved. Maybe for the first time in a very long while.

We don’t know Missy’s past, how she came to be alone, or how many Christmases she’s spent unnoticed. But we do know this one is different.

This Christmas, Missy isn’t a stray.

She isn’t forgotten.

She’s in a home.

Please welcome Missy to our Sweet Paws family.

We are so grateful for her — for her gentle nature, her quiet resilience, and the reminder she brings of just how much love a senior dog still has to give 💕
