Our gorgeous 3½-year-old Jack Russell Terrier, Monty, is ready to find his forever home!
Weighing just 6.5kg, this white-and-brown pocket rocket is bursting with personality and pure joy. Monty has bright, curious eyes and a zest for life that shines through in everything he does.
Monty absolutely loves his walks — he heads out with enthusiasm and comes home with a wagging tail, happy and satisfied. He enjoys meeting people and other dogs, showing off his friendly, social nature wherever he goes. He knows his basic commands and is eager to please, making him a wonderful little companion both at home and out exploring.
Playtime? It’s his favourite thing. Whether he’s chasing a ball or chewing on a soft toy, Monty throws himself into it wholeheartedly. And when he’s finished, he’ll often lie there gently sucking on his toy — his sweet little way of showing he’s content 🥹
After a busy day, Monty is more than happy to wind down with belly rubs and those behind-the-ear scratches that make his eyes close in bliss. He’s well behaved at the vet and isn’t fazed by loud noises — he tends to take life in his stride.
Monty is a clever and curious boy, which does mean he can be a bit of an escape artist. A secure yard and mindful travel arrangements will be important to keep him safe. He can be a little unsure about being picked up at first, but with gentle handling and trust, he’s improving every day.
