Please welcome Rubble 🤎

Rubble is a 6-year-old small toy poodle mix.

He arrived at the shelter as part of a large group of dogs rescued from a breeding facility, where they were kept in pairs or threes in mud-floor enclosures with little to no exposure to the outside world or normal home life.

Like many of the others, Rubble was initially very shut down in the shelter environment — but even then, there were little glimpses of hope in the form of gentle tail wags. He has always been safe to handle, just understandably unsure.

Rubble, like our other “oodles,” needed a compassionate carer willing to give him time, space, and patience to slowly come out of his shell and begin to feel safe enough to show his true personality.

With typical puppy farm traits — slow approaches, small wins, and consent-based interactions — Rubble is already starting to settle in beautifully.

These timid souls continue to show us just how resilient they are, and in the right foster homes, they are truly beginning to thrive.
