Morning update on our beautiful Maggie 🤎

Maggie headed out for a long walk around the oval this morning. For a girl who once knew nothing beyond the confines of a puppy farm, this is huge. New sights, smells, open space — it’s all still a lot to take in, but she’s taking it in her stride, one sniff at a time.

She’s still quite cautious, but she follows beautifully and is really starting to listen and trust. There were about 7 other dogs on the oval, and while she was curious, she stayed focused and kept walking on — choosing her human over everything else. Such a big step forward.

And the best part, she sleeps on the bed with foster mum Cheryl who she loves.

During her recent vet visit, it was discovered she has an old break in her tail — a quiet reminder of the life she lived before. We won’t dwell on it, but it does make these moments now mean even more.

From a puppy farm to morning walks, soft beds, and learning what it means to feel safe, we absolutely love seeing how far she’s come.
