Welcome to Sweet Paws Dog Rescue, beautiful Freddie!

There’s always a story behind the dogs who come into rescue, and Freddie’s is a little sad.

Freddie is a gorgeous 4-year-old purebred Cavalier who has come into our care as a surrender. His family have been struggling and, after a lot of thought, made the incredibly difficult decision to rehome him because they felt they could no longer give him the time and attention he deserves.

And now this beautiful boy is with us.

A huge thank you to foster mum Vanessa for helping get Freddie safely to us, and to foster mum Jo for opening her home and sending us these gorgeous updates:
It sounds like Freddie has settled in as though he’s always been here. He’s not timid at all and has just slotted straight in. In fact, Jo says he is the most amazingly adaptable, chilled-out boy. He slept in Hattie’s bed beside her, didn’t move until one of them did, and when he was let outside, he simply trotted back to bed and went straight back to sleep!

Freddie is an absolute darling.

There’s a little bit of work for us to do now. His coat is very long and a little matted, and his paws can barely be seen, so we’re hoping to get him booked in for a much-needed groom as soon as we can. We’ll also get his vet check underway and make sure he’s up to date with everything he needs.

For now, Freddie is simply settling in, being loved and getting to know his foster family.

🚨 IMPORTANT: Freddie is NOT available for adoption yet and we are NOT accepting enquiries or applications at this stage. Please don’t message us asking about adopting him. Once he has had his vet work completed, settled properly into foster care and we know exactly what he needs, we’ll let everyone know when the time is right.
