🐾 MEET HOPPER! Three legs, one very big personality! 🐾

Please give a big Sweet Paws welcome to Hopper, a 12-month-old Jack Russell Terrier who, yes, has three legs!

Hopper arrived into our care yesterday from RSPCA Victoria following a sad start to life. We won’t dwell on his past because this little guy is far more interested in what comes next!

He’s a happy little character who has already started settling in beautifully with foster mum Zoe, foster dad Gavin and the resident dogs.

And here’s Zoe’s first update, which has given us plenty to smile about!

Apparently, the note about consent-based touch on Hopper’s card only applies to people touching him. When it comes to respecting human personal space, well, that’s a whole different story!

After just one day, Hopper appears to be toilet trained, has been gently playing with his soft toys and is wonderfully respectful of the other dogs’ boundaries.

He LOVES pats, actively asks for tummy rubs (no fear rolling here!) and if you dare to stop scratching, he’ll give you a little wiggle to remind you that you’re not finished!

Loud noises, including squeaky toys, are a little scary for him, but there’s one rather unexpected talent Zoe has discovered…

Hopper LOVES watching television!

People appearing on screen have his tail thumping away. We think we might have a little TV critic on our hands!

Hopper may be missing a leg, but that certainly hasn’t taken away his zest for life, his cheeky personality or his enthusiasm for a good belly rub.

A huge thank you to RSPCA Victoria for entrusting this little man to our care, and to Zoe and Gavin for opening their home and giving him such a lovely start with Sweet Paws.

Welcome aboard, Hopper. We have a feeling you’re going to keep us smiling 😊
