Jessie has been with us for almost 3 months, we’ve been working hard on getting her medical issues resolved, and we are thrilled that her recent tests have finally come back with a positive result.

The medication she’s taking, which she’ll need to take ongoing, has reduced the protein in Jessie’s urine dramatically – this means she’s now at a stage where her condition is classified as too low to grade in what we expected to be kidney disease.

She’ll require infrequent tests, urinalysis and blood, to monitor her progress in the future. The medication is to stop the protein levels in Jessie’s urine from rising which is then absorbed into the kidneys.

At this stage there is a low grade possibility in the future of Jessie developing kidney disease, but there’s also a chance it may never progress any further.

We are hoping to get Jessie in for a groom this week, and from there???

It’s adoption time for our lovely lady 🌸
