Sophia, yes our little lady we took from the LDH last week, has had time to settle in and yesterday she had her initial vet check with our lovely Dr Kyle.

She had an extremely high ALP blood count when bloods were taken in the shelter, so we’ve redone those, and will check her general wellbeing at the same time, results should be back tomorrow. There are also some signs of a joint issue, possibly arthritic so Kyle has prescribed a short course of anti inflammatories, foster mum Giulia will monitor her and see if there’s any improvement.

Sophia was surrendered by her owner due to financial/living conditions, which would explain the neglected condition of Sophia.

But that’s the past, now time to focus on Sophia’s future, which is already looking much brighter.

Sophia is a 12 year old Maltese X, she’s an absolute sweetheart and we couldn’t be happier than to have her with us 💕
