People often ask us, “Do you find homes for every dog?” The answer is a big, resounding YES. 🐾
Granted, sometimes a dog bounces back—either during their 14-day trial or, in a few cases, months later. What do we do then? We simply pop them straight back up for adoption.
Recently, someone emailed me saying we were “playing with people’s emotions” by marking a dog as adopted and then relisting them. I want to be clear: yes, we do meet and greets at potential adopters’ homes, yes, we screen applications carefully, and yes, we try our absolute best to trust our gut about the home we’re placing our beloved foster dog in. Sometimes it doesn’t work out—and that’s okay. We try again. We never give up.
Missy isn’t one of those who’s been returned—so yes, we do get it right most of the time!
Here’s her pound photo and a sweet shot of her with her mum, who absolutely adores her 💛
She recently had a long weekend away in Castlemaine, where her family got creative to make sure she didn’t slip through the pool gate!
