Today, safe in foster care, Mabel is beginning to leave her sordid past behind. Slowly, gently, she’s learning what it means to just be a dog.

But let’s not dress it up — fuck puppy farms.

There is nothing cute about that industry.

Behind so many of those “adorable puppy” ads is a life just like Mabel’s — used, overbred, and discarded when she’s no longer profitable.
