Please welcome Maggie!

Maggie is one of our most recent oodle intakes.

While she is understandably frightened, she isn’t as shut down as some of the other dogs on the property — a small but hopeful sign that she’s ready to start letting the world in, bit by bit.

Maggie is a Miniature Poodle, estimated to be around 7 years old. She could do with gaining a kilo or two, at the moment she’s mostly legs and still rebuilding her strength.

Like many from this intake, Maggie lived in enclosures with other dogs and is part of a surrender of 22 dogs from a breeding property, where welfare concerns were significant and living conditions were not appropriate. These dogs are now safe and beginning their journey forward.

Maggie may be unsure right now, but beneath that fear is a gentle little dog who deserves patience, kindness, and the chance to finally just be a dog 💚
