Jack is in the clinic today for what we’re expecting may be a major dental procedure, with multiple extractions likely needed. While he’s there, our vet will also investigate a limp that has recently developed, along with the ongoing skin issues that have been troubling him since his time in the shelter.

Despite medication, special diets, and lots of TLC, Jack’s skin remains a significant concern. With him under anaesthetic, our vet will be able to take a much closer look and perform further testing to determine whether we need to adjust his treatment plan.

Before today’s big appointment, Jack enjoyed a warm therapeutic soak. Bath time hasn’t always been his favourite activity, but this sweet boy absolutely sailed through it — and just look at how handsome he is afterwards!

We know Jack has had a difficult life, with several medical issues that went untreated for far too long. Thanks to the wonderful team at RSPCA Victoria, who began his treatment journey, we’re now continuing the care he so desperately needs.

Since arriving in foster care last week, Jack has been nothing short of amazing. He adores his humans, loves being close to his people, and has been the perfect house guest. Once we can get on top of his health concerns, we’ll be looking for a quiet home where Jack can be the centre of someone’s world. He’s happiest without too much interaction with other dogs — after all, Jack firmly believes all the love should belong to him!

And honestly, after everything he’s been through, this beautiful boy deserves nothing less.
