A little update on our gorgeous boy Jack 🩵

Jack recently spent the day at the vet for a much-needed dental procedure and we’re pleased to report that things went better than expected. X-rays were taken of his mouth before surgery, and while he did need 6 teeth extracted, it was far fewer than we had initially anticipated. The rest of his teeth received a thorough scale and polish, leaving him feeling much more comfortable.

While he was under anaesthetic, X-rays were also taken of his leg. As expected, they confirmed osteoarthritis, something we were already managing with anti-inflammatory medication and daily Antinol Rapid. The wonderful news is that his limp has completely resolved, and he’ll continue with this treatment plan to keep him feeling his best.

Jack is also still battling some paw issues. He has an infection that requires treatment, but thankfully the amount of yeast present is much lower than previously, which is encouraging progress. He now has medication to help get things back under control.

Most importantly, Jack has settled beautifully into foster care. He absolutely adores his foster family and has made himself right at home. Seeing him feel safe, loved and content after everything he’s been through makes our hearts so happy 🩵
