💚 150kg of love has arrived! 💚

A massive THANK YOU once again to the incredible team at Lyka Pet Food for their ongoing support of Sweet Paws Dog Rescue.

This week they donated an amazing 150kg of fresh food for our rescue dogs, and we honestly couldn’t be more grateful. Every single meal helps nourish the dogs currently in our care and those who are still waiting for their chance at a better life.

Many of our dogs arrive with years of neglect behind them. Poor nutrition, skin disease, obesity, dental disease and chronic health issues are sadly all too common. Good nutrition isn’t a cure-all, but it plays an incredibly important role in helping these dogs recover, maintain a healthy weight, support their immune system and simply feel better.

There are so many myths surrounding pet food. A food labelled “complete and balanced” only means it meets minimum nutritional standards—it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s made from high-quality, minimally processed ingredients. Fresh, species-appropriate nutrition can make a real difference to many dogs, particularly those recovering from neglect or managing ongoing health conditions.
